Kayla is not just certified in CA but is also a Nationally Certified Bodyworker/Massage Therapist and following training began working on her own in the field in 2006. A California native, Kayla is originally from a small town in San Luis Obispo County named Atascadero. She relocated to San Diego in 2009 where she still holds her practice.
Her training began under an acupuncturist/massage therapist on a one-on-one basis in 2004. His massage background included over 25 years of injury care. They would seek out misaligned or injured persons and bring them in so Kayla could to be taught/shown how to 'fix' them. During this process she learned how to read the body and recognize structural misalignments, then assess which areas of the body needed to be released in order for the body to realign itself. This valuable training carried over to Hirudaya Holistic Life Center and California Holistic Institute, then Kayla's search for higher levels of training lead her to Healing Arts Institute in Northern California owned by a well respected doctor who attracted many other well respected "outside the box" Master teachers and this is where the training became far more interesting and exciting.
In the evolution and growth of discovering outside the box therapies, Kayla was introduced to ThetaHealing and Quantum Lightweaving in which she took certification programs. These works are amazing ways to release tied up emotions and stresses that overwhelm, drag us down and wear us out. She also went through Reiki 1 & 2 Certification training providing relief and release of painful emotions and energy...collapsing unhealthy patterns in our body and life.
Kayla strongly believes in the body, mind, spirit connection and how important it is to stay in balance. Because so many of these modalities can be combined and refined to fit your needs you will always receive a custom session....just exactly what you needed and didn't know existed...manual therapy designed to reset your body.

Communication is key. Kayla need's to know what you're feeling, experiencing and what you're looking to gain in order to best help you. In turn, Kayla will explain the treatment and what you can expect to gain from it as well as any suggested self care at home practices you can bring into your daily experience.
The work is made up of many tools to promote healing. Whether it's stress, illness or keep up on your self care, need for emotional release, or injury care the benefits of the work can be life changing. Kayla would be honored to take that journey with you.
The primary focus of the practice has been working with many chronic and acute injuries ranging from car accidents to work, sports, and everyday repetitive stress injuries. Correction of misalignments in the body is a necessity to prevent injury and allow for quicker recovery.
The work promotes relief of pain and discomfort from overworked muscles needing to be reset or overstrained ligaments/tendons that can be creating dysfunction or misalignment.
Overall performance, mobility and improvement in function can be achieved through structural realignment.
Structural realignment is vital for these corrections through manipulation of fascia and soft tissue, affecting ligament and/or tendon positioning and thus affecting your structural alignment and posture.
Energy is everywhere and in everything. We are energy made up of many different frequencies and sometimes we become stuck or find ourselves in disharmony. This can express itself as emotional, physical, mental, or even spiritual forms. There are no rules when it comes to energy but our belief systems, programs and patterns can cause blocks in many areas of our lives. These blocks can appear in our relationships with others and ourselves , they can appear in our work environments, our home, our physical body, as well as our emotional and mental bodies. They can cause discord in our ability to create money, be creative, or build the life we want to live. Because there are no rules there is no limit as to how we can be impacted by these imbalances. There is rarely a one fit answer for anyone or anything so it may take a variety of modalities to bring you to a place of balance along your journey. The most important part is to never get discouraged or give up and find the joy in process...we all have a journey but you don't have to do it on our own.
One of my favorite things I've had a mentor say before was that "If we were meant to do this by ourself we would have been each given our own island"
By ourselves we may not have it all together but together we have it all....we just need to reach out for help and lean into support when it is given.
Enjoy the Journey, Embrace the Experiences, and LOVE THIS LIFE!
